We are a small, family operated business located near the foothills of Northern Colorado.  Our gardens are located in an old flood plain that provides us with rich, wonderful soil.

Since the age of 5, I have been fascinated with gardening and nature.  I can remember walking barefoot through my grandpa's strawberry patch in Kansas during late spring and observing as he carefully tended his vegetables.   I also remember in those early days collecting scores of mulberries, walnuts, leaves and other goodies to add to mud pies.  Later, I spent summers roging milo and corn along with many of my teenage peers.

In the early eighties, I began studying the benefits of natural foods and the use of herbs in cooking, health and healing.  I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources in 1995 which degree included several plant and ecology courses.

Still, after so many years, I am only just beginning to learn about the use of herbs and that is what I find so fascinating.  It is my hope you will also discover something new and enjoy using our products as much as we have enjoyed producing them for you.

We grow over 50 varieties of herbs among our 360 annuals, perennials, bulbs, shrubs and trees.  Lemongrass & lemon verbena (right foreground and background).  For a list of herbs grown and detailed information for each, click on the Herb Information page.

Our Herbs

We have researched blending herbs for our Bath Teas, Scrubs and Facial Steams to create the best product for your needs and skin type.  We use our own homegrown herbs in all of our products and quarantee them to be free of chemicals or pesticides.

The herbs are cut fresh in the morning, washed, air-dried for several days or weeks away from direct sunlight then crushed by hand.  You are promised products made from our most recent season's crop for the best results.  For the few herbs we cannot grow on our site, we purchase from a local organic retailer.

Our Soaps

Our soaps are hand-made from pure vegetable fats.  We have recently begun making our soap from scratch in small batches via cold process so we have lots of new and even better quality soaps to offer.  The cold process allows us to retain ALL of the natural glycerin and makes for a dreamy bar of soap.  We use different combinations of virgin olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, red palm oil, castor oil, sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter in our homemade soaps.

We sometimes add vitamine e, aloe vera, and lanolin or infusions of various herbs, cut and dried herbs, spices, nuts, grains, and fresh fruit or vegetable juice to provide good texture or color.  All of these ingredients add health and beauty benefits.  Only 100% essential oils are added for fragrance or aromatherapy.  You will find all of our soaps to have a rich and creamy lather.

We do not use food dye, alcohol products, perfumes or fragrance oils in any of our soaps since these are man-made chemical processes that are non beneficial to your skin
